hi guys made this topic to share info in getting a police certificate/COC for foreigners who have worked/lived in SG for 6 months and up for they will require PC if stayed in any country for 6 months and up...=)
*take note: you are not able to get COC without the letter of Visa Office requesting for COC

1.)First you need send an e-mail to "<SPF_CID_COC@spf.gov.sg>" requesting assistance on getting SG(singapore) PC(Police Pertificate) or what they call "COC" (Certificate of Clearance) for foreigner and tell them little info when you had stayed in SG... clearly tell them you are not a singapore citizen..(they will respond within 3 days so be patient on waiting for their reply)Attached in their reply would be an APPLICATION FORM and APPEAL form...just fill that up.
(you can already send an email to them prior to the request letter from visa office so you could already fiil up the forms in advance since it will took then 3 days to reply so no days will be wasted...=))

2.) Ready all the requirements listed below:

Requirement on getting COC:
-a full set of fingerprints taken by a qualified fingerprint official; fingerprints can be taken at the COC office at the time of application for the COC,

-a photocopy of your current passport,

-two recent passport-size photographs,

-a bank draft in Singapore dollars for the applicable fees payable to ‘Head Criminal Records CID.’ [Please refer to Singapore Police Force (SPF) website for the processing fee.

-letter from Visa Office requesting for police certificate in SG

3. Send via post/courier in this address:

To: HEAD CRIMINAL RECORDS
CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION DEPARTMENT
SINGAPORE POLICE FORCE

Address: Police Cantonment Complex
Criminal Records Office
Criminal Investigation Department
391 New Bridge Road
Singapore 088762

email: http://www.spf.gov.sg

4. COC will be sent directly to requesting Visa Office 3-4weeks waiting..

You can contact them to check if they had received your application requesting for COC
contact number: +65 6435 8277

hope this would be helpful..=)

Apparently the Singapore Embassy in Manila is telling us we need some kind of fingerprint request form to take into the police station. This wasn't in our request from the Canadian embassy, nor is it mentioned anywhere on the Singapore website and i don't see anything in your post about it.

Has anybody heard of this or did i just talk to someone that gave us bad info. This is so frustrating.

We just called the Singapore embassy here for confirmation when they told us about a fingerprint form. We did end up getting an email back from the Singapore Police with the fingerprint form, which i still find strange wasn't mentioned anywhere but glad it seems to be on track now.

I'm not Filipino but my wife is. She did manage to get the fingerprints done yesterday. Last thing left is a bank draft now, I think i'll just get one here and bring it with me since I'm traveling there this weekend.

Hopefully this is the last of the paperwork for us, thanks for the reply.

You should just follow the instructions here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/asia-pacific/singapore.asp

Yup that's what we are doing, the issue was that the embassy gave us additional steps that weren't on that list but it's all good now. I think we still could have done it without the form they sent us for fingerprints.

hello, these are the current requirements of getting COC in Singapore..

a. Application form (and appeal form if applicable)
b. A photo copy of applicant's valid passport (biometric page only)
(Note: walk-in applicants are to bring the original documents for verification)
c. 2 recent passport-sized photographs that are 3.5 cm by 4.5cm, borderless with a white background;
d. Photocopy of document from relevant consulate/immigration or government authority/educational institution to establish that the certificate is required by such authority. All documents are to be translated to English if written in other languages;
e. Fingerprint Impressions
i. Walk-in applicants' fingerprint impressions will be taken at the COC;
ii. Applicants by post shall submit a set of their 10 fingerprint impressions* taken by a qualified fingerprint officer from a police establishment or an authorised office at their country of residence.
* A set of 10 fingerprint impressions refers to impressions of right and left thumbs, and 4 fingers of the right and left hands.

Anyone here who have written an appeal form? What sort of things you say to them so they will give you the COC. Please take note that it is stated in their website that they only give COC to non-Singaporeans in a case to case basis.. So it is possible that they wouldn't give you the COC..

would they directly mail the COC to CIC?

Hey everyone, I'm a foreigner currently living in S'pore, sponsored by my Canadian common-law spouse who's also based here.

Under "Marital Status" in the appeal, I want to enter "Cohabited" since I am living with my partner and I want the details (between both COC & immigration application) to be consistent as much as possible. Naturally, I also plan to add his nationality, Canadian, under Spouse details.

Questions
1. Will doing the above complicate things? i.e. Is it better to declare my status as Single, and Spouse field as empty?
My partner & I do not have any sort of common-law contract, nor are we "registered" to be in a common-law partnership in any way, so this information is totally new in the eyes of Singapore government. We do share a bank account, expenses, a place together - but that's about it.
2. Will marital status even appear in the COC?
I googled how a COC looked like but can't find any that shows how the back side looked. From the front side it looks like this information is not included. If it's not included maybe the above question will be irrelevant.

Thanks all in advance for your responses! :)
