Step child not listed in application?

my husband (pa) was filling out the documents for his application. He forgot to list my son as his step child. He thought that he wasn’t a step father until he is here in Canada .

We have received AOR And now they are performing background check. I am thinking maybe we can send the document again (where it asks if pa has any step child/kids). Will cic accept this? I don’t want this to cause the app to be returned as it was an honest mistake?

I am the sponsor by the way the step child is my son from previous relationship.

Should we sent in web form inquiry?

You can send in a webform. Since the child is your son (a Canadian, I take it) I don't know if this is as large an issue as it would be if it were your husband's son. But I'm not sure.

I honestly don’t think it’s a big issue should we just write in the webform that he forgot to put my son or do we have to send in the document .

Fill in and updated document/form and upload that document via webform. Explain in the "text" section of the webform.

Thank you very much !

Do you think they would return the app for form for this mistake ... should I call cic and ask?

I figure maybe since I have aor they would be more lenient .

Im almost in the exact same scenario! We included my young children under 18 as my husbands step children he but didnt put my 2 adult children as I didnt think they were needed since they are adults and not dependants. I was worried sick about whether we did it right so I sent a webform last week explaining the situation that I also had 2 adult children, wasnt sure if they should have been included and that they are canadian citizens. I havnt heard any response as yet. I hope this wont be an issue!

Have you received aor? Honestly I don’t think it’s a problem as you are letting them know... it’s an honest mistake I don’t think they will return it!

Yes received AOR, SA, biometrics and MR all within 24 hours last week. The next day after I sent the webform. Thanks for the reassurance!
