Up to when is his TRV (Visa stamped on the passport)?svs said:Hi ,
My friend's study permit extension got approved for 3 years in the month of August 2009.
Does he needs to send his passort to buffalo office for stamping?
He is planning to apply for PR in next month.
We really appreciate your response.
Thanks,
He could apply for a temporary resident visa at a visa office in the US (Buffalo/Seattle/NYC). Attach a photocopy of his student permit.svs said:Thanks for your quick response. visa was stamped till August 2009(with the initial study permit)..now he he got extension till May 2012.
Not very sure if he needs it for his PR application. He needs the visa for re-entry if he leaves Canada. Yes.svs said:Hi Thanks for your response.
Is this visa required even if he is not travelling outside of canada now.
or is this mandatory to apply for canada PR.
the link you provided above shows - Application for a temporary resident visa to visit Canada (Pilot project)
Please clarify.
THANKS,
Okay. Please direct me to that link. Thanks.svs said:Thank You so much for your response,
I see PMM response for one of the posts in this website for the similar question:
Did they change the rules recently?
You don't require a stamp, your new study permit is enough, your passport will be stamped when you re-enter Canada.
