Staying in USA and need ways to get job in Canada

Hi,

I live in USA (with H1B visa - from India) for more than 5 years and like to move into Canada for an IT Job. Could anyone of you please help me where i can upload my resume or seek employment? Currently i don't have any Canadian VISA and seeking for an employer to sponsor. Appreciate any ideas or sugessions.

Without work permission it's nearly impossible to find an employer who's welling to sponsor you in IT field.

After getting your work permission or PR status, it's fairly possible to find a job, if you have the right qualifications.

This exactly what happened with me, I tried to find a job in my field (IT) and failed until I received my PR visa; I found a job even before doing the landing.

P.S: I have an experience working with multinational vendors.

Thanks Walmzd for the response. Can i apply for work permit/PR directly by myself? I thought some employer needs to sponsor for the same.

To apply for a work permit you first need a job offer from an employer in Canada and that employer must also obtain an approved Labour Market Opinion.

You can apply for PR without a job offer if you qualify. You'll have to read through the various immigration program details to find out if you qualify.
