It has been a while since I last visited, I might not be able to get to apply for university but I might be able to give some other information proving i have tiesJalex23 said:Totally. That is indeed a very solid reason to go back.
Worry not, prepare properly and do not freak out if further questioning is needed.
OP main problem is that this is her third visit. Stricter screening is normally required when multiple entries are attempted.
What is a while? A good time between visits can very well reset the counter. This raises your chances.Xylnaeri said:It has been a while since I last visited, I might not be able to get to apply for university but I might be able to give some other information proving i have ties
a bit over 6 monthsJalex23 said:What is a while? A good time between visits can very well reset the counter. This raises your chances.
Hmmm I was expecting at least one year.Xylnaeri said:a bit over 6 months
My boyfriend and both his parents are picking me up, and he paid for most of my ticket (they asked me that the first time I visited), but I was away from Canada for 4 months before coming back and they didn't seem to care.Jalex23 said:Hmmm I was expecting at least one year.
It will definitely raises your chances, nonetheless a second screening seems quite possible. Be also sure that your bf picks you up at the airport. Officers like to see that kind of commitment if the relationship is authentic.
Yes, that is why I haven't mentioned refusal.Xylnaeri said:Plus I'm from a visa exempt country, I was told that's gonna make my chances bigger.
As I mentioned before, each case is different. So whatever happens in one doesn't have any relation to what happens in another.Xylnaeri said:have you tried to stay for 6 months or something similar yourself?
They will go into deeper and longer questioning. You will be asked to actually provide evidence of what you are claiming, for example if you claim you are going back to college, the officer will ask for the letter of enrollment, the receipt for tuitions, etc.Xylnaeri said:What happens at a second screening?
School is completely free where I live, and you can't apply until the start of the year, the year you want to start, so I wouldnt be able to actually apply before going, it's impossible.Jalex23 said:Yes, that is why I haven't mentioned refusal.

But then you will be carrying evidence of this, like for example a print out of the webpage where the enrollment dates are set, a plan to not miss those dates and your travel plans will reflect this (e.g. if enrollment is in September then you will be leaving in August).Xylnaeri said:School is completely free where I live, and you can't apply until the start of the year, the year you want to start, so I wouldnt be able to actually apply before going, it's impossible.
Chances of what? Nobody has mentioned chances of anything.Xylnaeri said:I guess it just sounds like my chances are very small. I'm afraid If I'm gonna have to cancel my tickets.. :/
Absolutely no need to cancel anything..don't be scared or put off. As said before, the only person that can make a decision is the guy at the immigration wicked at the airport. Millions of people visit Canada, you too.Xylnaeri said:School is completely free where I live, and you can't apply until the start of the year, the year you want to start, so I wouldnt be able to actually apply before going, it's impossible.
