I am on visitor visa in canada.I have got 3 months visa from my residence country in form of sticker stamp i.e. from 23 sept to 23 dec.
At the port of entry my visa was crossed and the officier put a stamp on it. He donot provide me any extra document or write any date.
I did not know the expiry of my visa , so to prevent the complication I filled the forms of extension, which was refused by officer by saying that "missing document regarding portal entry". I have the stamp over the passport of 3 october.
Now, I am not understanding, when my visa expires ( as I come to know that if the stamp is there, meanz that I have 6 months visa from 3 october) If It is, can this refusal further affect my study visa application.

If anyone clear this to me, really thankful.

When you applied for extension, a photocopy of the marked page of when you entered Canada should have been attached together with the bio-page (name, passport number, passport expiry date, ....). If the POE officer did not place any date except your arrival date, then you were given the usual 6 months allowed stay. If your original entry is still within the 6 month validity to date, you can request an extension this time making sure that the required documents are submitted with your application.
