what work you do, u can definitely not 100k in a regular job

Needless to say most of the tech and skilled jobs paid well in GTA source "http://www.payscale.com/research/CA/Country=Canada/Salary"

100k in skilled and educated jobs are certainly on the higher end of scale, but perfectly possible.

very true , its good you brought up the point of Taxes and fees, i have seen people with good jobs struggle their whole life just to free their houses

My dear,

I wonder how people can't find any small job for six years ? Funny guy ;)

I came here as student. I did many part time jobs and after my school, I got IT job. When I am 26 years, I got married and bought my wife to Canada on work visa. As soon as she is in Canada, she is able to find IT job in Canada.

Now we both are making 130K per year together. As soon as we get our PR, we are planning to buy home.

Nowhere in the world, things are easy. You have to struggle and get what you want.

Dont waste your time on this blog.

I hope it's a typo! ;D

Funny seeing everyone recount their own tales or boast about their achievements. Don't be so serious - the OP is most likely trolling us, lol.

All depends on experience - a fresh grad will never make 100K -- whereas 90/100K is at the lower end for a real software engineer with 10 years of experience.

So goodbye my friend. :)

If you are employed in your home country, have some money and a little future in your home country then never, never, ever think of going to this horrible country.
Not only you will stay unemployed most of your life here, but you will also lose everything you already have, you will age and get older very quick and nothing in return.
Canada is full of garbage laws and full of greedy people. The government will take every possible chance to take your hard saved money from you : taxes, fees, additional fees with no help what so ever in getting you a job.
I struggled for 6 years in Vancouver and Toronto to find any small place to work at. I am an accountant by profession and have 10+ years of experience.
Trust me, this country will destroy you and your family. You will have nothing left to start again elsewhere.

Where is your home country that there are no laws or taxes? Sounds like paradise.

As with absolutely anything in life, it is what you make of it. Yes, Vancouver and Toronto are probably the two most expensive places in Canada to live. They are however also really beautiful cities with lots of opportunity if you work at it. Six years is a long time to not have something work out for you, I'd say there might be a little more to the story. Many places in Canada offer assistance to immigrants to help assimilate.

Immigration is a choice.

Anyone who moves entire countries without first doing some hardcore research and gaining some realistic expectations is setting themselves up for disappointment.

Did you expect it to be Scrooge McDuck Money Den to swim at? The lifestyle maintained here is built on welfare by taxes on higher earners. You will not SUFFER from taxes if you do not earn enough. you will actually get huge support for you and your family.

Do you mean 130K each for you and your wife, or in total?

My family is doing just fine, thank you. We even managed to raise a good amount of money to start a business.
