If you are employed in your home country, have some money and a little future in your home country then never, never, ever think of going to this horrible country.
Not only you will stay unemployed most of your life here, but you will also lose everything you already have, you will age and get older very quick and nothing in return.
Canada is full of garbage laws and full of greedy people. The government will take every possible chance to take your hard saved money from you : taxes, fees, additional fees with no help what so ever in getting you a job.
I struggled for 6 years in Vancouver and Toronto to find any small place to work at. I am an accountant by profession and have 10+ years of experience.
Trust me, this country will destroy you and your family. You will have nothing left to start again elsewhere.

Perhaps immigration is not for you buddy... wish you all the best in your life, but a little advice: try and be less categorical in your arguments - people will listen to you better.

Tell me, in which Western country does any government help you get a job? Getting a job is all about competing in the private sector (for the most part), and demonstrating to your employer you can apply what you have learned at school and University to solve real life business problems.

Anyone who thinks the government is there to help them to set their course in life is surely mistaken.

Interesting, toronto is the financial hub of canada...how come your accounting experience didn't land you a position? Do you have the relevant certifications in your field and appropriate language skills? Have you had any interviews at all?

:o Scary to read your experience.

Are you still in Canada? Access your self, your decisions; may be you can correct the situations you are facing.

Do not blame the world, society, the country. Canada or other countries are not forcing to immigrate. We immigrate by choice.

Friends, Nothing come easy in this life from the time you enter this world; till the time you leave the world.

It's indeed a challenge. We must live life as it unfolds, remain happy, steadfast and with all sincerity, dedication try to achieve your goals.

Victory and success cannot be achieved except after tests of patience, perseverance.

This forum has good human beings, sensible, highly qualified, experienced, individuals who are striving each day to remain competitive, IELTS, WES, CRS, Experience, Settlement funds and face uncertainty at each stage of these processes.

It's indeed a great struggle.

Good luck to you and all the forum members.

Lol ;D. I second this. And I see that he has just registered to post his grievance :P

Br33zer,

Read the struggle of each individual on this forum at every stage of the PR process. I salute them all.

It is so frustrating if you go by the stories, experiences, hard times members face;

the universities for transcripts, WES, IELTS Slots, Banks, the courier companies

and the unending waiting times for AOR, Nominations, other stages of the PR processes.

His story might have a negative impact on several members on this forum.

His story could be true, but he should have given the right perspective to his expressions.

You are here for the last 6 years and still struggling to get a job, Buddy seriously you have to look into yourself and see whats wrong rather than blaming the country. You are always free to leave.

very true , its good you brought up the point of Taxes and fees, i have seen people with good jobs struggle their whole life just to free their houses

Stop thinking Canada as a magical kingdom where jobs are abundant to newcomers. Just because the Government lets you in doesn't mean you will succeed. It's also ones hardwork and skills.

It's not news that professionals come to Canada and only then they realize their work experiences and credentials are not recognized by local employers. It's not only a language problem or racism. It's simply local knowledge and standards are prevalent over foreign work.

This is a common struggle with emigration wave of Hong Kong in the late 80s and 90s when many immigrated to a new country, realize they can't support their family and had to return home after 1997. Many resorted to work low skilled jobs and luckily make a living with 2 jobs. Some became entrepreneurial and open their own small business.

Especially with the rise of Co-op education and apprenticeship, more and more people leaving university already worked for a year or so, who displaces people with no local experience.

Local experiences is better than provincial experience, which is better than Canadian experience, which is better than foreign experiences. that's how it works here.

---

TL;DR: foreign experiences are not experiences in the eyes of Canadian companies.

it's never easy anywhere.

Came in Canada as student. Did lot of jobs that weren't pretty.

Worked my way, kept grinding through everything.

I'm making more than 100k right now.

It never was easy, it never should be.
