Hi senior members, I am in the process of applying for a Canadian passport for my child. I have been informed that I need a new guarantor since my child's passport is not eligible for renewal. However, we have recently moved to a new city and I have been unable to find a qualified guarantor. The processing time for passports is 20 days. If I send the application without a guarantor, will it affect the processing time of my child's passport?
Has anyone else had a similar experience?
Does the commissioner need to sign the back of the photo?

Thank you!

Guarantor need not be from your new city. It can be your old acquaintance too.

I couldn't find a qualified guarantor, and they also need to sign the back of the photo.
