no, that's not correct. A PR application ALONE does not give someone implied status, it is the OWP application that is submited ALONG with the application that gives implied status. Since your wife's OWP was sent in AFTER she fell out of status, i don't think she would receive implied status.aguyer05 said:Allegedly for inland apps, you're considered implied status while you wait for your permanent residency to be processed. That's how we understood it. Apparently spouses are the only one that are allowed to be out of status while they wait? I don't know, this is so confusing.. I'm on hold with CIC right now waiting for an agent.

Is this changing to outland thing an easy fix? How do you withdraw your application?
do you have copies of the medical receipt? if not, you can contact the panel doctor, and they can print you out a new one. As for the Police record, you would need to get a new one. since fbi records are taking 12 weeks to process, the clearance doesn't have to be submitted upfront with the application. so you would need to initiate a new request, and let cic know you've order it so you can forward it when the file gets to the visa office.
I believe Alicia13 and Missrepresentation both switch applications, and I know Alicia started a thread about it. I would try to locate it or send them private messages to ask how to get started.
i honestly don't think the call center will be helpful in this situation. they will probably give information that ,while "true", isn't exactly accurate based on actual experiences.blueangel371115 said:People have done it. I'd call the call center. I've never done it myself but some folks on here have. I'd call the center ASAP if that's what you want to do.
