Can the dependent applicant (in a joint Express Entry application for PR) still retain their application if the main applicant withdraws his application 1 week after soft landing?
Assume the dependent has also made the soft landing but the PR card isn't ready yet?

Also, what will happen if the dependent hasn't made the soft landing yet?

It's confusing to understand what you are asking. Can you provide more details?

Now only thing left is, for both of us to land on Canada.

Once you have your COPR your application is closed you can't withdraw it. If you don't want a PR just let your copr expire without landing. Once you land you become a PR. You spouse won't be a PR without her Landing.

Your timeline is still confusing.

You (assuming PA) cannot withdraw AFTER soft landing.
You can only withdraw BEFORE landing and BOTH will not be able to land.

The only way to "stop the dependent to land", is to update IRCC with the information of a broken relationship (with proof of seperation or divorce).
Then the whole application will be looked at and both COPR will be "invalid". After further processing, new COPR will be issued for landing.

Or you can even try to update the application to change the spouse to non-accompanying (not sure how that would affect the EE score...etc).
Again, same as above, IRCC will need to process the update and re-issue new COPR.

If that's what you want, take the risk. Since IRCC is on strike, it could take who knows how long.

up to my simple knowledge no one can deprive a PR status from any one once it is in effect ( in effect i mean applicants have crossed their first entry into Canda at any port country wide using CoPr paper) not for death not for divorse not for nothing , maybe..... only a judge can do and under certain conditions, but surely Principle applicant can't do no matter how you try, unless you lied in your application about the relationship: type or period or what ever and this is a missrepresentation that deports all of you.

If the primary applicant relinquishes their PR soon after landing and the dependent remains in Canada that will be likely viewed as fraud. The primary applicant is the one who has been approved for PR and their dependent can accompany them to Canada only because of their approval. If they are trying to secure PR for their dependent only since they wouldn’t qualify on their own that would be fraud. If a couple is no longer in a relationship
it must be declared during processing and you will be asked to confirm whether there have been any changes to your family composition (break-up, marriage, had children,etc.) when you land.

Trying to manipulate and/or mislead immigration can lead to consequences forever. If someone received PR under false pretences then at any point they could lose their status in Canada.
