hi.......
plz help me that what is the status of the child born to a person on tourist visa or an illegal in canada...
will d child be canadian citizen.... will the child b having the same rights as others.......
wt will be d status of his parents.......
thanks.....

The child is a citizen with the same rights as any other citizen.

The status of the parent does not change (i.e. they are still a tourist or illegal).

thnxs for replying........
will the parents be eligible to apply for citizenship after certain period or not........ like when child attains the age of 18 or smthing like.....
thanks...

When the child reaches 18, they will be able to sponsor their parents. In order to qualify to sponsor their parents, they must be living in Canada and must be earning sufficient income to meet the low income cut off. It currently takes 5+ years for parent sponsorship applications to be completed.

thnxs ....... that means that parents can stay with him till that period though they wont be having citizenship rts......
theirs nothing like that they will be deported or banned entry in canada.......
thnxs alot........

No - this does not mean that the parent can stay with the citizen child until they turn 18.

Again, only the child is a citizen and only the child has citizen rights. If the parent is an illegal they will still be treated as an illegal. This means the parent can be deported and/or banned.

As an additional FYI - if you plan to have a child in Canada as a visitor, you will be responsible for paying all costs associated with the labour and delivery. This can cost as much as $10K for a problem free birth - more if there are complications.

What this means is that if there are any problems with the birth of the child, it could cost you more than $10K in hospital fees. If there are no problems with the birth of the child, then it should cost $10K or less. However either way, you will be responsibe for paying these costs out of your own pocket.

thnxs for giving this information........
can the parents of child apply for stay in canada on behalf of the baby........
thnxs

As you have been told before, the citizenship of the baby will change nothing for the parents. They to not gain any right to stay in Canada just because they have a Canadian baby. There is no immigration class reserved for parents of Canadian babies. If they want to immigrate to Canada, they must qualify by themselves.

As you have been told before, their Canadian child can sponsor them at age 18 provided that it is living in Canada at that point and is making enough money to meet the income requirements.

In other words your baby is the property of the Gov of Canada and you'll have to go back to your own home country. If there was any clause where you can stay just cause baby is Canadian then everybody would use that to scam the system. Half of my country would be empty for sure :)

I personally think they should, its not a written rule but if I understand correctly people have to do medicals for visitor visa
