hello everyone! I wanted to ask. I have a valid work permit and trv that will expire on April 2020. My concern is my employer is going to give birth for her 2nd child 1st week of February 2019 and she informed me that she will not be needing me or will release me 1st week of March since she will have maternity leave so she have the time to look after her kids. My problem is,will that affect my status here in Canada? Will i be no status right after she release me from my duties as a live in caregiver since 2016? I have not applied yet for pr.

You can stay in Canada but you can't work unless you get another employer to get an LMIA and you get a new work permit.

If i apply for pr with the work permit i have now before she release me, will i not be in trouble?

You have a current valid work permit so you can stay in Canada. You can't work though so the will be the big problem.

I should look for a new employer with LMIA and work permit before my current employer releases me, right?

until you have PR you need a work permit to work. Your work permit's are employer specific (closed work permit).
