WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN.

A. CANADIAN CITIZEN BY DESCENT
B. NATURALIZED CANADIAN CITIZEN

I CAME HERE TIN CANADA WHEN I WAS 8 YEARS OLD, AS FAR AS I KNOW, WHEN I ARRIVED HERE, MY STATUS WAS PERMANENT RESIDENT, THEN BECAME A CANADIAN CITIZEN.. SO WHAT IS MY STATUS THEN, IM FILLING UP THE FORM FOR SPONSRSHIP. THANK YOU

If you came to Canada as a Permanent Resident then later on obtained citizenship, you were naturalized.

I believe if you received citizenship through your parents, you are a Canadian citizen by descent.

Btw i have a question. I'm a naturalized canadian citizen, but i don't know when did it happen! And in the application I need to put the datr and the UCI number. What should i do? Can I call the cic regarding this? Or what? Pls help.
