Re: Pension Statement for Proof of Funds

I may not be an expert or something but I would suggest that you do not rely on it as the sole financial proof, it may serve as an additional proof of funds but not the primary one. Hope I have helped.

I have a pension that is available to me immediately upon leaving the organisation for which I currently work. What I want to know is if it's possible for me to submit that pension statement as part of my proof of funds along with monies in my bank account?

Thnx
Hi all,
I am applying for masters under university category.
My course fees is $25000k, and I am done with my GIC and first sem fees.
My both parents are working and their total annual income (both) is Rs16-17Lakhs
Now I have mentioned it in my visa application form, but no proofs regarding the same are being asked.
My consultant told that there is no need for unnecessary docs like ITR and salary slips.

Just mentioning parents annual income in Visa application form is enuf ?????

I have applied for loan as well (Rs 12L, just to make my file stronger), but my consultant says loan letter is not reqd at all.
Please sugggest !! :(

Hi
I'm not a good expert but I think you should submit bank account statement (at least 4 months showing that enough funds were there) along with pay-slips (as pay-slips serve as provenance of funds). And loan is a good argument that will support your file and that you will return as you have some obligations in your home country. Have your loan application been approved? The only issue might be that as long as I know once loan is taken you should pay-back monthly. I think this will be negative side of showing loan letter unless you provide another letter from bank stating that you will start paying out your debt in 1.5-2 years, i.e. once you return (may you would be able to show that it is a student loan etc.)
I believe this will make your case stronger and show your bounds to your home country.

Of course this is my personal opinion based on my two rejects.

Yes, I am planning to show bank account statements of my parents, and their GPF ,payslips etc.Hope that is enuf.
My loan letter is in process. It will take just another 2-3 days.

Thanks a lot for this piece of advice. I ll definitely keep this in mind.

One more thing, as per my undertanding there are 3 categories :
general, university and spp
whats diff between general and univ? The proof of funds for both are different..

For genreral , here it is : http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/india-inde/visas/checklist-student-general-liste-etudes-generique.aspx

Hi,

1. All refused SPP veterans must apply under generic (for both SPP & Non-SPP DLI)
2. You can apply under 'generic' in the 1st attempt if going for a non-SPP (DLI), if refused, can't use SPP as a 2nd option.
3. 'University' for anyone intending to join University.
Thanks a ton..This clears my queries :)
I am applying under university category..
