No medical exam yet, the application was received at the end of May and nothing else happened since :)

I got accepted into an incubator program. I contacted a lot of incubators and investors and it was all cold contact from their website. They ask all the questions that you can think of you should know everything about your business and why Canada would be a good fit for your business.
hey thanks for the reply, was it all email communication, or phone, or did u meet them in person?? and was it an existing tech company?

i contacted few incubators most of them want to see over 100k in revenue and most of them are looking for tech companies,

and were u the sole founder? i heard they prefer founding teams,

in my case i have all the funds but my business is in idea stage do u know any incubator accept idea stage companies,

and finally, since u got the support letter are u planning to go to canada on work permit and start setting up the business and participating in incubator program, before u actually get ur PR ,

thank you very much

Sorry for the late reply.

Most of the communication was done via email we also have Skype sessions.

The 100k revenue I don't think is a requirement for most of the incubators some might have this but is not common. Some incubators want to only support the business in specific fields like AR, AI etc. but most of the incubators all open to all kind of business they have the requirements but if your business is not in tech that won't mean you can not be accepted.

The most important thing to the Incubators, Angel investor and VC is the team and not necessarily the idea if you have a great team it will be easy to get investors interested in your business.
I'm the sole founder in my business and I don't have previous entrepreneurial experience and my business in a service business which means almost anybody could be accepted into an incubator or secure investments from Angel investors or VC.

It will be really hard to get accepted into an incubator program with only the idea, what I would suggest is to build a version of your business or to have at least an MVP this way the incubator can see that you are putting your money and time into the business and you are serious about your business.

I will wait until I get my PR and then immigrate with my family to Canada, this way I could be 100% invested in the business and settling in Canada.

14 months is so long to realize business plan, as a 2-year company owner, the business ideas and plan must not be delayed so long, because we have to enter market earlier.
Anyway, of course, Canada officials has to evaluate this detail.
I was thinking to apply with my ready business plan to Canada’s start-up visa program. But, when I have recently seen 14 months, I am thinking on to apply to Ireland instead of Canada. Do you really think that it will take 14-months? Or can it be reduced to 3-4 months?

Hello Guys! My husband and I are applying under the SUV Program, and I'm happy to get in touch with more people in this process! So here is our timeline:

Dec 2017 - We got the letter with an incubator after 8-9 months in talks!
17 Jan - Sent papers from Colombia
11 Feb - Passport asked for my husband (He applied for work permit and in two weeks he got it)
28 Feb - Aor

21 Jun - Aditional documents and police certificate
23 Jul - Medicals Requested
31 Jul - Taken the two exams, mines from Colombia and his from Canada.

So, we are waiting, so dont give up, its loooks like a long path, but actually isn't it, in another programs can take about 18 months!! So, whatever questions you have dont hesitate in write me!

Thank you! Unfortunately the option of startup visa doesn’t show up in my selection list. It’s just the PR Card that is showing up.

No I haven’t recieved anything other than AOR
Look trough, What are you applying for? -> Economic Class / Which economic class application? -> Start up visa ... 14 months right now.

Received AOR on April

Hello!! Isn't weird! as you can look I have no update in months because they do first the review of the papers and requirements. So don't worry.

I'm agree, is a long time, but you can ask for the work permit, so you could arrive in less than a month, ans applied inland (But accord the amount of documents they ask, is better to complete the package in your country and they go to Canada, the depedents can travel along with you, but they have to meet the criteria for the visas). And in our experience the incubator is an awesome help to the bussines, at this moment we dont hace the final PR response, but actually the company is settle in Canada!!!

In our case, my husband was the only applicant and he own a tech company, the revenue is less than 100k, so we prefer to get in touch with incubator in the less technologic places, so we raise our chances of get a letter and we got it. So get in touch with alll the companies that you can!

Hi all, I submitted all papers on 28th of March, 2018. And also received AOR on 6th April, 2018. Still nothing happens after 4 months!!!

Recently the incubators asked whether I want to submit Work Permit and move to Canada then I can setup the company? However, it request to take 50% in Escrow bank account... As i am not ready to move to Canada now, so i have not kicked off the WP. Question is, whether "without WP" would cause bad influence? CIC might consider that i am not seriously to build my startup compared to other applicants who submitted WP?

Anyone could share your experience?
