Ah yes, the classic donkey and carrot — except in this case, the carrot is moldy, the stick is broken, and the donkey has already walked halfway across the desert. At some point, it’s not motivation — it’s mockery. The donkey and carrot metaphor is a classic illustration of motivation, often depicting how people or animals can be driven to pursue goals that are enticing but remain perpetually out of reach.
Hi @Aleem123,Hi Hali
What’s the status of your GCMS, it’s taking quite long time to get, why don’t you open a web form or take help of the local MP to know the status
Yes you are right, if there are more than one essential members or principal applicants,
all principal applicants will receive individual updates in GCMS showing:
Eligibility: Passed
Criminality: Passed
Security: Passed
Medicals: Passed
Only when all are passed, the PR file is ready for final decision / COPR issuance.
Hi @Dint & @Aleem123Hello Hali
Thanks, we are a team of 5 members; 4 received GCMS notes while we await the notes of the last confounder. The four members who received their GCMS notes have been ready for finalization since June 24. We all submitted in October 2022 and all received PAL in February 2024. Medical done twice for all team member
Hi HaliHi @Dint & @Aleem123
Thank you very much for your kind shares.
It is very hard to be 100% fully understand the notes which the IRCC officers mentioned in the GCMS notes. As you said "The four members who received their GCMS notes have been ready for finalization since June 24". In my point of view, there may be a possibility that your 5th Co-founder has been stuck in the "Security check / Screening", I thought. Anyhow, let's wait and see the GCMS notes from him.
- My AOR 2021
-My 1st Medical & Submitted July, 2022 (Passed in Oct 2022)
-My 2nd Medical & Submitted Dec, 2024
-My DO is Prioritized on (Angel - CIAI)
The last updated information from my MP in May 2025 was :
- Security = passed
- Criminality is in process
- Medical is in process
=> I have ordered the GCMS notes since 2nd of June but haven't got it yet.
Honestly, I do not understand why & so tired to wait...!
Wish something news for all of us coming soon in the next coming months...sbs told me it may be Sept or Oct.
Good luck for all of us
Let keep in touch
Cheers
Hal

SUV Processing time increased today to 4.33 year from 4.25 years .....!!!!! its expected to increase more in the future ,,, what do you think?
My gut feel and wild guess is in coming 2-3 months it may increase by another month or two and then it will fall below 40 months, the assumption is that they will clear the 2020 and 2021 backlog in coming 3 months, the decisions may go both ways, approved and not approved to bring down the numbersSUV Processing time increased today to 4.33 year from 4.25 years .....!!!!! its expected to increase more in the future ,,, what do you think?
The Math doesn’t support this….to see drop in processing time you can do either of 2:My gut feel and wild guess is in coming 2-3 months it may increase by another month or two and then it will fall below 40 months, the assumption is that they will clear the 2020 and 2021 backlog in coming 3 months, the decisions may go both ways, approved and not approved to bring down the numbers
Got your point. The Math doesn’t support this….to see drop in processing time you can do either of 2:
- Increase quota
- halt mew intakes and increase quota
With only 1000 shared spots how can you see drop in processing time with estimated number of applications (greater than 13000)
Hi,Got your point.
With ~6 years of inventory, the drop will depend on both approvals and rejections. My sense is higher rejections, the 10-applications-per-DO limit, and Priority DO processing could all accelerate the decline.
Let’s see how the numbers play out once decisions start flowing.
We are all trying to pacify and convince ourselves that good days will come, otherwise we all would take back our applications after such a long wait
Left with no choice but to be optimistic
Hi @nanoxide ,I got access to this document from my incubator slack channel and thought of sharing it here for everyone to look at SUV approval and refusal data - https://meurrensonimmigration.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/SUV-Stats.pdf
