Hi everyone, Basically what the title says. Can a person start parents' super visa application while already the main sponsor applicant for a group of 5 for a refugee family (not parents) in progress? Just wondering if it is permissible and if so what about the finances? I have been looking on the net and do not find any source addressing this. Would appreciate you pointing me to the right sources

Yes, you can start a super visa application while sponsoring a group of 5 under the refugee family program. You'll want to make sure you have the funds to cover the group of five sponsorship and also separately can show enough income to meet income requirements for the super visa.

If the group of 5 that is being sponsored under the refugee program is related to your parents, then there's a good chance the super visa will be refused.

Wow. You are undertaking a major responsibility with the promise to support 7 people financially for 10 years. But I wish you the best of luck.

Group of 5 sponsorship is 1 year or until they become self-sufficient.

The undertaking for PR sponsorship (PGP) is now 20 years. Is there an undertaking signed for the Super Visa? Because it is an application for temporary resident and the applicant would not be eligible to welfare anyway.

@splendid2019 You'll actually need to show enough funds to support the group of 5, the parents through supervisa including supervisa insurance and any routine healthcare/medication and still have enough money to support your own family plus put money into an emergency fund and longterm savings.
