Hey guys,

hope to get some help here.
I moved to Canada in April 2012 and I'm applying for PR right now. I want to
start a little side business when I get my open work permit approved.
Want to offer computer hardware and software help, as well as web design. This is going to
be work done from home.
Where should I start? Do I have to register that business?
How much can I earn or should I earn to get good tax advantages?
Any help or ideas are highly appreciated!!

Thanks guys.

/// And yes, this is a double post, because I posted 30 days ago, and got nothing else but 400 views on the topic. Haha

you should ask a more specific question.

One of your questions is about how much you can earn if you start your own business. Nobody can answer.

What exact info are you looking for?

Thanks for your response. I know that you can't tell me how much I can earn,
that wasn't what I wanted to know anyway.
What I wanted to know was, how much money does one have to earn in order to get tax
advantages if there is such thing. Coming from Europe there's a rule, that if you earn
a certain amount on the side you can get tax advantages or something.

Furthermore, I would like to know what steps I have to do in order to
register a business in BC? Do I have to register or can I only freelance?
Freelancing in, I print invoices and pay tax for the money I earn at the end of the year?

I tried to google, but all I could find was way too confusing, so I was kinda
looking for some who has experience doing that...
