for those who started out with a student visa and later on worked their way to successfully having a permanent visa...pls share your journey.......inspire others ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) thanks in advance

I have a collegue.
She came from Russia for post-graduate in international studies (16 courses, 2 yr program). Graduated in 1,5 years (transfered credits from her Russian bachelor degree towards the program), got a PGWP for three years. First she got a job not from NOC 0-A-B, but soon applied for the openning in another position from NOC 0-A-B, then applied for PR through PNP. Got PR.

This is not rocket science.......

It all depends on your individual situation. Just because 1 million others have gotten PR after coming on SP does not mean you will.

You need to have a plan. Study the PR programs available to Intl Students (FSW, CEC, PNP) and plan accordingly. You are not going to luck into PR if you come to study in Canada. Be proactive and prepare for all contingencies.
