Just wanted to share what we've done with the translation guys, maybe it'll be helpful for others too. I am a globetrotter so in my passport I had somewhere close to 100+ stamps. When it came to the translation, lots of those were blurry and, apparently, I was not smart enough to keep copies of all flights tickets.
These guys: http://www.docsbase.ca/ (ask for Alex or Jason) were extremely helpful. So what they did for me is they have obtained entry\exit info from the border agency with all dates and timing of my visits. I understand my situation was a bit of an extreme, but the solution they found was just beautiful. And for those wondering: no, it did not cost me a fortune at all. Very reasonable and very pleasant experience.

Do you had experience with all this companies? Which one does the better translation job? I am not in hurry and I do not need my docs translated very fast but I want them to be done profesional quality. Do they require passport to use correct spelling of names? I dont want to send my scanned passport to any one.

I just want to remind everyone that you only need worry about stamps on your passport that are within the 4 year period preceding the date of your citizenship application; anything older you do not need to worry about.

As for translation, if the stamp clearly mentions in ENGLISH: entry/exit, date of entry/exit and name of country, then you do not need to translate it.
For example, stamps from UAE after I think 2009-2010 have both Arabic and English with all the necessary information, therefore you need not translate it.
If you stamp is entirely in another language, then you need translate it.
If your stamp is in another language with ONLY the date in English, then I personally would get it translated just for peace mind.

If you ask me, I'd say go for http://www.docsbase.ca/ or http://docwork.ca/ From my experience they are the most professional ones.

http://document-translation.ca/ - just can't confirm. We used them for business translation and I can't say anything about their ability to handle passports.

rmust, you are right about the last 4 years but the officers wouldn't know whether the foreign stamps were within the past 4 years unless they are translated. So you'll have to translate all passports covering the past four yeas irrespective of stamp date.

Last question, the translation applies to adult passport holders only, am I right ?

You have a point there. I was thinking about UAE stamps in my passport from early-mid 2000's when they only had the date written in English, but everything else was in Arabic....

That's a valuable observation about something that is not obvious! You are right!

We have used them for the Citizenship application and translation had stamp, signature, translator's ID. So I believe they are certified.

Received my translations yesterday from www.docsbase.ca - impressed with the job!! They do a translation that has certifcation attached to it, Ontario notary seal (!) and its attached to the copy of translated documet and sealed together with one more validation seal. And they called me before printing the translation and sent the translation file to me to check spelling and everything. When last time I ordered from other company they mispelled the name in translation and I had to go back to redo.
