Stages of PR application

Hello !

How do I know at what stage my PR application is. I briefly understand the status in my account has to move from IP1--> NA --> IP2

My eAOR date is 27 Sept and the status has been this for a while now

a) eligibility: we are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements

b) Background check: is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check

c) Final decision: in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision is made.

I don't see any status such as IP1, na or so on.

At what stage do you think my application is?

IP1 and IP2 aren't official statuses used by CIC - they are estimated stages of your application. I'm assuming in your example you have already passed your medical exam, so your status appears to be IP1, which you can tell by your background check status. You will be in IP2 when your background check states "We are processing your background check." Once they have passed your eligibility, criminal and security check, you will get an email for a passport request. (PPR) If you are from a country that requires a visa to enter Canada, you will need to send your physical passport to get stamped before you receive your confirmation of PR (CoPR.) If you are from a visa-exempt country, you only need to send photocopies of your passport. Hope this helps.
