Hi,

I've heard that it's not advised to travel outside of the country while the application is being processed. However, we just received the stage 1 approval and my wife has a valid visitor visa. Does it mean that it's safe to travel now or should we still hold off on our traveling plans?

Thank you for your help!

Ideally you should hold off traveling until PR is approved. Having first stage approval and a visitor visa does not guarantee re-entry into Canada. She would probably have no issues re-entering - however occasionally people are refused.

Your husband can't sponsor you if he is on social assistance. He will have to get off social assistance and remain off social assistance to be able to sponsor you.

If your husband was on social assistance, then appealing isn't possible since you were correctly refused.

You'll need to tell us more about your situation (i.e. how did you apply - inland / outland, what was your status in Canada before you applied) for us to be able to help you.

i came here in canada as live in caregiver..then my working permit is going to expire in a week...and i got no time to look for another employer to sponsor me..so

they advise me to apply for the three months to have status in canada...so i got three months more...then i found

an employer and she said she gonna sponsor me..now what she did she paid an agency to do the paper works for the LMO now they submitted the application for my LMO

after 2 and half months the service canada called me saying they cant contact my potential employer, because they need something from her...so they called me and told me that we close your file for application of LMO because your potential employer did not submit annual income statement for 2011 she only gave us 2010...my question is...why is it that they forwarde the application from the agency who had a immigration consultant without looking carefully if there is a missing papers? but anyways i told my potential employer about this..and she said i will talk to my accountant...so i waited until it was already time like 3 days before my permit is going to expire and she said im not sponsoring you anymore...i was left hanging and dont know what to do...so i called immigration and told them about this...and they said you can apply for visistors visa so i did...and then that time my common law partner here said will get married and i can sponsor you so you wont go back home...same as the immigration told me...so we got married and send application...now this is what is happening again...he also said he can get off income assistance and just do his tax return and re apply again...is that possible?i really need help i dont want to go back home please
