SRS H1B AINP-Tracking Application Sent from 1st April - 15th April

Hello Everybody,

So, just wondering when should we expect some information from AINP people if we applied in April. I heard that there is no pre-assessment in this new process and they just provide a final decision after 5-6 months.

Can somebody please provide any information.

Around October think to do something. Meanwhile around July first week you will get your file number.

Nobody knows exactly when you will receive a Certificate nomination...
Because Applicants who sent the application in January 09 have not heard anything yet from AINP office.

Somebody called AINP office last week , and the officer said "it will take 5 months of the total process and possibly without informing file # .!" So based on estimation, if you sent in april 09, you might receive it in Sept-oct 09 ( if you have sent the docs correctly, if not, then you might receive it longer than 5 months ).


So be patient...

If you have a signed receipt of receiver from UPS/ Fedex... then, you may feel safe in the first step.

I did send my application to the AINP H1B SRS on April 7th. It did reach them on April 9th.

My NOC code is 2131. Civil engineer.

My immigration specialist anticipates to get an approval in 5 months (Aug 2009).

I am not able to get a link, where it says IT professional are not under pressure list anymore under H1B program.

it is not in albertacanada.com website. Please provide me exact URL.

Nothing has been mentioned in the web site. They thought of changing some occupation list by April 15th, Not specifically IT. But they are not doing that anymore. As of now,its all good for IT professional.
 
Hi friends,
I filed through a lawyer on 13th Apr and they sent me a file number on 15th.
What does receiving a file number mean? I also read that a few folks have not got
their file #s after many weeks.

found out from the lawyer that it is their file # and
I will receive my file # from AINP within 2 months.

Divagirl..is that your guess? I thought it is supposed to be Nomination decision in 5 months and not just a file number (that they may not even provide a file number). Thanks

I concur, nowhere have I heard or seen 5 months just for getting a file number (its 2 for file # + 3 for nomination decision = 5), and I hope it stays that way! =)
