Sri lankans pls Help - Is EPF accepted as Proof of fund in Sri Lanka ?

Hi,

I very badly need the answers for the following queries. Any Srilankans please help

1. Is EPF accepted as proof of fund in Sri Lanka. Is there any one in the forum who has done so ?
2. Is there any requirement by the CHC in Colombo, that the fund should have been maintained for a specific period ?
(For EPF and what is available as bank balance).
3. Can you please provide what kind of proof is accepted by CHC Colombo . What do they need from the bank (what kind of letter and what it should include)
and If EPF is accepted how are we to provide proof.

When I inquired in this forum , some one had replied EPF was not accepted and fund should be there for 6 months. But I found a Sri lankan's reply
on the following thread which contradicts with this

I need to show some 2.4 million LKR. I have this fund in both EPF and bank taken together.
please help and share your experience.

Mr.Ruka,

You have to get a letter from a bank stating that you have this much money in your account and also you may try to get a letter from the EPF department stating how much money you have in your EPF. But i am not a Sri lankan applicant i am just giving you an idea. If your EPF can take it if youre leaving the country for good, i think that may count.

I am also thinking to show my EPF money. Is it possible? If so a letter form the central bank is it enough?

I have the same question. Really appreciate if some Sri Lankan could respond if they have shown EPF as proof of fund? It would be really helpful
