It seems you submitted sponsorship May 2011 and application received on May 9, 2011. Next? It will take normal processing time and CIC canada will request more documents when needed, if everything ok they will transfer to visa office of your parents and it will take another normal processing time. Next stage VO either request medical and other supporting documents before passport or request both. What happened to me requested both. Final stage dm. That what I know.

My application submitted 2009 and so many delays like principal applicant past away due to accident, dependent children gave birth and now PA will take sputum test.

Ppr and other documents may 15
Meds done may 30
Sputum june 4-5-6.

Did your doctor say anything about anything that they found at the Medical?

My husband has had many sputum tests and they are used to diagnose Tuberculosis. Only reason that I can think that they would ask for it is if they see something in the chest x ray. The doctor should have told you that they found something though.

For parent/grandparent you will be ok. They will need to be treated to get rid of it before they come to Canada if they are diagnosed, but it is definitely a treatable disease. Treatment for my husband was only 6 months.

Doctor at St lukes didn't say anything what I can remember my mother need to take sputum test and if positive 6 months treatment that what the doctor said and what my sister says to me but before that my mother took second xray same day of medical and pay 850php with out discount so I assume something wrong because my sister and brother have no repeat test and my mother was a long time smoker just stop now. Medical done may 30, 14 except additional sputum test for my mom scheduled on june 4, june 5 and june 6.

Thank you that was the info I am looking for, did you read some post or know anybody parents sponsorship that after treatment TB granted visa? I hope my mom turn negative because she was pre med included TB test and xray fr other hospital in Pangasinan and attending examiner ok them to take medical in manila.

Sorry to hear. Is your husband medical at St lukes? How's treatment do he need to go to st Luke's everyday or he take meds himself?

I don't know where St. Luke's is, my husband lives in Costa Rica. He did the treatment through his local clinic at home. They sent someone every day to his house to give him the pills and make sure that he took them. It was ok but the pills are hard on the stomach, you always have to make sure your mom eats something in the morning before she takes the treatment.

I am not sure about parents sponsorship. If it is only TB then she will just need to get rid of it. I know once she proves that it is gone with more tests then everything is ok.
