SPUTUM | SMEAR TEST RESULTS VERSUS PULMONOLOGIST RESULTS

Hi, i need clear direction and answer forum mates, my husband did sputum , smear test. Results. Passed! He ask by IOM to go to pulmonologost for clearance. PULMONOLOGIST SAID he need to undergo 6 mos MEDICATION????????????oh my God! Are they crazy?????? Ive been waiting for 8 mos because of sputum and now wait AGAIN???????? Please enlighten me.

hello, as far as i know that if your 3 days sputum smear was negative and your culture test is negative, then you dont have to undergo the 6 months medication. Because you see whats the use of the test if you will still undergo the treatment. If thats the case then the pulmonologist should have started it in the first place months ago if he will disregard the test they have requested. That is waste of money and time. Where did you had your medicals and where did you had the test done?you better talk to the doctor for explanation.

You are right it is waste f time. I dont really get the point of having the smear and sputum test good results and then pulmo results is taking medication. My husband medical starts since sept 2013 and sputum done feb 2014 and he did xray may 2019 and now he was advice to see pulmonologist.. Im tired . Philippines is sucks
