Sputum Culture Pending Result

Hi, i undergo the sputum culture last year and medical was passed after the second xray and visit to a Pulmonologist to compare the two xray and write a report. My medical expired in January and i just went for another test and they are telling me there is a possibility that i would have to repeat the same sputum culture and second x-ray after 3months.
I'm guessing this is your first process of the sputum culture, not to worry, you'll get it passed if the spot doesnt increase and stays the same size in the xray, like i did last year.

Unfortunately Today we received another email for further tests for my spouse. She is HCV antibody positive but PCR negative with Zero Viral load. We informed them in our medical examination and ask them to do LFT and PCR but they didnt do anything just mark client in Category B with HCV positive.
Now i contacted medical center and they informed they need to do LFTs and a consultation with gastroenterologist. Have you any idea what second physician will do ? and what he will examine ?
on our own medical examinations ALT enzyme of liver slightly raised (53) due to fatty liver nothing else.

And now? I assume you must’ve done your X-ray. Are you done with your medicals?
I did my final X-ray Jan 20 and they asked me to see specialists. When I did, they sent my medical file on February 18th. Since then, not a peep from IRCC.

Hey. How long did it take between the resubmission of your medicals after getting the specialists report and passing of medicals? Mine has been under review since February 18th and that’s just not normal.
Not yet, we have booking in coming week. Can you confirm what was the outcome of your sputum culture and what specialist inquire, examine or investigate from you?

My sputum samples were all negative. I found out on January 10 and then had my final X-ray on 20th. I thought that was it as not a lot of us are actually asked to see specialists/pulmonologists for report.
On the 26th, I got an email asking me to visit the specialist which the panel physician would provide. It costs extra money and it was basically her conducting breathing exercises and using a stethoscope to listen to what was happening internally. When that was over, she asked for my history and I told her I’d had tuberculosis when I was 16 but caught it at a very early stage.
However it left scarring in my lungs which is common for those who contract it. She waved it off as anything active or serious and told me I was fit from her examination. By February 18th, IRCC confirmed my medical file and my status on the portal changed to “under review”.
It’s torturous to think they’ve not given an update since then. I’d rationalize it with the backlogs but the fact that countries like China, Japan and USA still get processed within 1-7 days shows that there is priority processing afoot.
Even within my country, there’s a disparity within processing times. I’m also floored that applications with furtherances aren’t treated as priority applications since the furtherance itself causes a disparity between those and non-furthered applications. I really don’t get it.
Any update on your end? Had finished my repeat x-ray with negative culture last April 26 2022. No new updates on my gckey acct. Medical status still says reviewing your results but this was the same since Feb 2022. Lodged my application: Dec 10 2022

I got an update yesterday for the first time since Feb 22. It was a Procedural Fairness Letter asking me to convince them I won't be of strain to the healthcare system because the meds for tuberculosis are higher than the threshold allocated to students annually. I get those meds for free here and will be given 6 months worth to travel with. They can also be sent to me from my home country to Canada so I'm planning to hire an immigration attorney and get advice on how best to respond to this.
Ohh. I see. Are you in PH as well? I hope everything goes well for you. I am getting antsy as well... Last I heard was Feb 28 for the additional docs they asked for me due to a hiatus period in my employment. I just hope and pray we get an approval soon!
Hi guys, I received the request for a sputum test and a second x-ray and I gave the sputum samples. Do you know if the processing of the application is continued while waiting for the result? What happened in your case?
