Dear Nano24482,

Wishing you all the best for your Visitor visa as well as PR visa.
Information you provided clearly indicates that NDVO intends to send MR in near future to Pre-Juners. So on the outset it looks great provided that devil's mind does not go further.
(Bill-C38 empowers Immigration to decide our future "New powers allowing the Citizenship and Immigration Minister to reject an applicant to Canada who has already been deemed admissible by immigration officers, set limits on what types of immigrants can have their applications processed each year, and require that ineligible persons applying for residence on humanitarian grounds to already be in Canada when they apply." and this bill is introduced in the parliament which will be cleared between June 08 to June 22, 2012, most intriguing fact is that this bill can not be defeated as it is part of budget and if it is defeated than Government will loose the power and collapes which is unlikely given the fact that Conservaties have enough numbers to pass the bill)

Pls. refere this link and read last bullet point of this news.

Hai seniors,

I am little bit tensed about my FSW application. I applied on 18/10/2012 and got PER on 12/01/2012. After that no news. I don’t know the status of my file whether to reached LVO or still with CIC .

When I checked my ECAS it is showing as IN PROCESS with a Line that we receive your application of 18/10/2011. This is showing since January 15 2012. While checking others Ecas in this blog they have some more lines before reaching to INPROCESS , we rcvd ur application on this date, we started processing ……..like that .

Pls share your views

Regards

Dear All,

I went against advice of a lot of seniors and have applied for a visiting visa for Canada for July to Dec(my husband is on a student visa there doing his PhD, he gets stipend and TA from the university, so he is employed in a way). Today I received a call from the Canadian Embassy(+911141782000) for the same.

VO: You have applied for FSW and that your application is in process so you may be receiving your medicals soon. You're going to Canada may delay the PR process.
ME: If I receive medicals I can do it in Canada. Secondly my PR application was taking my more time than we initially thought, and I want to visit my husband in the meantime.
VO: Doing medicals in Canada may delay your PR and as you have added your husband in application it will delay the PR process. We need to run background checks on him. If you or your husband have visited any other country except India/Canada it will again delay as we need to run more background checks.
ME: Even if I don't go to Canada and do my medicals my husband will have to do the same in Canada, so it will obviously delay the same. I have never been out of country and my husband in has only been to Canada.
VO: You have applied for 6 months, are you planning to leave/resign from your job
ME: No, I have commitments here and I wrote 6 months because the visa is generally for 6 months, my stay there would be shorter.
VO: But you have applied for FSW you may have to resign ultimately.
ME: PR and visiting visa are different things.
VO: Okay
Overall, she seemed convinced and the tone of the interview/call was pleasant (no air of superiority or trying to prove me wrong).
Writing this because the VO/caller said that I am already on queue for medicals and that once our status is in process the Visa office has to complete the process in some time period(how much? that she did not say)

By the end of this week I may or may not get my visiting visa, but writing this to boost the confidence of all the Pre Juners.

Please wish me luck for my visiting visa.

I am positive that most of us will get our medicals this year at least.
what is the current status of your file ? is it in process ? vo says may be u r in que of medical, i wish it becomes true ....

Dear nano

Best wishes for your visitor visa. You are definitely going to get that.

I really feel that you will have to go through your medicals while in Canada, alongwith your life partner.

Please keep in touch with forum even when you are in Canada. :D

BINSON,

life seldom gives a person a second chance.........
If i were you , I would have turned every stone possible to get my wife's PCC from Saudi within 20 days. If i had to catch next flight to Saudi I would had done so.......
Now my sugestions to you....1) if you are in Saudi currently, then take printout of this email tommorrow morning and go to Indian emabssy and explain your situation to them and request them to help you out in contacting their ministry of external affairs to get a PCC in short time period.
2) Send a fax to Canadian embassy in New Delhi within next 02 hours telling them you are making every effort to get the Pcc in due time. But request them to buy some more time, like 02 months, as you expect the same.
3)If nobody listenes to you in Indian embassy in Saudi then go to the most reputed & well connected lawyer over there who can help you out in this matter against his professional fee....

After waiting for 2 years you simply dont afford to miss the train.....you understand very well what i mean...........JUST DO IT MAN
