Dear that is just one example... bad news is.... they ought to apply ALL new regulations to the previous applications, be it education evaluation, language proficiency, points grid and so on.

This is what I understand from his speech.

For example, it also means if a doctor (or previous applicant of any other occupation) who has got overall 7 bands in IELTS, but only 6 bands in speaking, will be in trouble if they say that the doctors will now have to score 7 bands each in speaking, listening, reading & writing.


There can be n number of new regulations which all will become applicable to the old applications also.

As far as language proficiency is concerned, I think those from the sub continent fare much better than their counterparts in Europe and quite often the USA / Canada.Our English is quite phenomenal.So if a person gets 7 Bands overall and 6 in speaking does not prove that he is weak in English. The understood criteria should be that one should know English and be able to explain his thoughts across, thats it. He qualifies.All of us are not expected to be Phd's in English.

A recruiter can change the laws to suit his needs AND NOT OURS. And ofcourse, as far as our applications are concerned, one can only hope that new laws do not force us into hibernation.

1. The reason why I mentioned about the individual scores in listening, reading etc. is because in many regulated professions, in order to get the licence, one has to get such scores in IELTS. Hence they may impose such conditions right from the begining. That was just an example. Nobody knows how many and what kinds of new regulations would be introduced. And if we (old applicants) do not fit into the new frame, may be thrown out right away.

2. Occupations on new demand list will be given priority..... and that also means the probable hibernation of those who are not on the list.

We were eligible when we applied and now ..... who knows?

I think this is a great injustice.

It also means that the minister has really gone crazy now.

If your score is less than it may affect the speed and even the final outcome of your applicaiton.

I hope your score is good. If it is the case than you may jump ahead of so many of applicaitons.

No body knows what they are going to do.
Kenney is giving new statements everyday.

I don't think it may happen in your case. But if you want to find out the language scores needed for your profession's licence, please go through the licensing authority's website.

It seems that Canada is following Australia's Immigration policy(or trying to go there) where you need to score 7 bands in all 4 modules.
4131 though not a regulated profession, is expected to have a good command over the medium of Instruction.

They may not reject those files, just de-prioritize them.

Rejection is equivalent to death of your patient, &

De-prioritization is equivalent to your patient going into coma ;D

My intention was not to emphasize solely on "language requirement", it was just an example given by me.

Things may be alltogether different ... we will come to know only after MI-4.

You should not panic just by reading anybody's comments, but analyze the things yourself. No one here is expert on immigration. We are just discussing the situation as it appears to us.
