Alongwith updated docs of my elder son, I have also sent docs of myself and spouse to CHC y'day.

I have also scanned and mailed 5475 & 5563 to my friend in Calgary to apply for CAIPS. Now the wait starts....end April / 1st week May.
In the meantime in case I receive any queries from CHC,will put it up here

I need your advise on my current situation.

I applied for PR in April 2010. My company sent me to USA on work visa around April 2011.
Before coming to USA, I informed Canadian Embassy that I am going for a 3 months work related trip to USA and that my correspondence address will remains the same.
My stay in USA was extended to long term (Till Jan 2014) on request of client around July 2011. Since then I am in USA. I didn't informed Canadian Embassy about this extension in USA.

Issues for which I need your advise:
1) As per Canadian Embassy, I should be in India after July 2011. Is this a problem?
2) If any Medical request comes and I send medicals from USA. Will they questions my location?
3) If PP request comes then how I should manage sending PP to India.

I have seen lot of informed and good people in this forum who helps others like us with their useful advises.

Inform the visa office the same thing.
They may transfer your case to Buffalo visa office..

Hi All,

Got my CAIPS.

New Delhi Visa office has approved my documents which was sent last year.

Total points given : 72

Mentioned in my CAIPS that the immigratrion officer is satisfied that I will become economically established in Canada and that he is satisfied with the points and documents.


BFD is 18/05/2012 - Don't really know what does that means.

Hopefully medicals soon.

You are 1 step closer to your journey to Dreamland. Our timelines are similar and In Process dates are also similar. Considering the same, I have also sent my documents to my relative in canada for CAIPS Application.

From your case, I believe that people whose e-cas turned to real in-process in Jan/Feb and who have till date not received any update are through as far as points are concerned. i.e. all of those have been awarded atleast 67 points. This is my opinion. Waiting for others to comment.

That's not a problem, you can inform CHC that you are in USA and you want to have your correspondence address of India itself.
2) If any Medical request comes and I send medicals from USA. Will they questions my location?
No they wnt question but make sure you send a FBI clearance as well as you stayed more than 6 months in USA
3) If PP request comes then how I should manage sending PP to India.
It's better to go yourself and the other option is sending through one of your friend or relatives but it's risky if they ask you for interview or Visa office takes time to return your PP back you will be in a mess.

I spoke to my consultant today. He told me that he has recently seen a MR for a case that went into IP around Dec 2011. So acc to his logic, it should take around 3-4 months to get MR out or a decision made. Also I asked him to get my CAIPS notes for me, since I have hired a lawyer based in Canada. He wasn't too sure if that is possible but I was insistent. Let's see what comes out of it. But now from what I can tell, there are no clear signs for MR coming out.

I do have a doubt, If the VO lists its processing time as 18 months (like NDVO) does, would that then not mean that it will take over year and a half to process an application after the IP date? Just wondering, any body with an explanation?

MY timeline

"We received your application for permanent residence on February 5, 2010.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on March 18, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

We transferred your application to the New Delhi office on March 24, 2010. The New Delhi office may contact you.

Your application was reviewed and we started processing on February 16, 2012. "

except NVDO rest all VO are sending medicals for Pes june . even Manila VO sending Medicals very fast for pre-june . we are optimistic that NVDO also start sending Medicals by Mid April or May .

many of us requested CAIPS nots - that will clear real picture !!
