Hi,

Just wanted to clarify the financial documents required under SPP.

1 year tuition fees + 1 year living expenses + airfares

So do I take a loan for 80% the whole thing and then pay off the first semester fees from the loan sanctioned? or Do I pay my first semester fees and then apply for a loan for the remaining amount? Or does it not matter either way?

Also, what other financial documents are required under SPP?

In SPP, there are very few documents required.

One of the reasons for visa refusal is lack of ties to your home country. How do you prove your ties to your home country when filing for visa under SPP?

Hi,

It doesn’t matter which way you prefer to pay your fees. You can take a loan for 80 percent of first year tuition + CAD 8,000 and thn put off first semester/term fees from the loan sanctioned. You can also pay first term semester/term fees from your saving and then apply for a loan for rest of the required amount (in this option, you can even deduct first term paid fee from total 80 percent of required calculation).

The concept of ‘lack of ties’ is more like a conclusion which comes out of your application/profile. There are many things to consider like your prior studies, academic grades, proposed course, loan sanctioned amount, ITR details (especially for general applicants) and of course what you state in your “Student Questionnaire Form”.

Just restrict yourself to the requirement of SPP visa checklist. I quote SPP visa checklist;

“***DO NOT PROVIDE ANY ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS UNLESS REQUESTED TO DO SO BY A VISA OFFICER, OR YOUR FILE WILL NOT BE GIVEN PRIORITY PROCESSING UNDER SPP.”

Thanks for the reply enfield. It seems like the student questionnaire form is the most important part to prove you are a genuine student!
