Hi all,

I applied for student visa for Canada for jan 2013 intake, but unfortunately Canadian Visa Officer refused my student visa application.

The Embassy gave me a letter and mentioned that:
Other reasons:
Your proposed studies are not reasonable in light of one or more of: your qualifications, previous studies, employment, level of establishment, language abilities or your future prospects or plans.

The Embassy did not mention any specific reason for this.
Can I ask them for a reason anyhow?
Can anyone help me out with this shit?
Can I reapply my visa file as I have bonafide student proof now of same course as of Canadian Institute?
Can I write strong SOP or not?If yes then plz email sample SOPs to me here: harjindersinghbatth@gmail.com
Reply soon as I dont have Time.

Regards
Harjinder Singh Batth

Baai, There are two ways to apply CAIPS notes :-

1. If you have Relative/Friends in Canada. you do need to know someone living in Canada, either a citizen or a permanent resident, who will be willing to mail the request for you. If you already in Canada, you can however send in the application yourself.
2. If you don't have any links in Canada.

For 1st type cases :- If you have Relative/Friends in Canada. you do need to know someone living in Canada, either a citizen or a permanent resident, who will be willing to mail the request for you. If you already in Canada, you can however send in the application yourself.

First off, you need to download the application form. You will find this at the Citizenship and Immigration Canada website at this link:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5563E.pdf

The form is pretty straightforward, with explanations on what needs to be provided. You will need to fill in your file number (usually starts with a “B”, “V”, “E” or an “S”), the embassy where you applied (e.g. Buffalo or New Delhi), and the address in Canada.

If you do not know your file number, you can indicate this in the form, though there may be a delay in you getting your CAIPS notes.

You need to provide a Consent Letter, authorizing release of the information to the person applying on your behalf, who will also have to write a Formal Request letter asking for the CAIPS notes. A copy of that person's passport or other document proving legal residency in Canada also needs to be attached.

Fee will be $5

All the papers then need to be mailed to this address:

Citizenship and Immigration Canada
Access to Information and Privacy Coordinator
Narono Building
360 Laurier Avenue West, 10th Floor
Ottawa, Ontario K1A 1L1
Canada

For Second Type cases :- If you don't have any links in Canada.

You can orde CAIPS from http://www.caipsnotes.com/ Charges will be $40

PS : I have heard alot about CAIPS, never tried

GIC refund process?
i applied for refund through mailing them on stedentgic@scotiabank.com. it has benn 25 dayz. no confirmation message from their side.
please help

I am a Bangladeshi student and i have applied from Oman to the Canadian embassy in Abu Dhabi. I have got rejected for the first three reasons : You have not satisfied me that you will leave Canada by the end of the period authorized for your stay because: (a) you have not demonstrated that you are sufficiently well established in your country of residence. (b) you have not demonstrated that you or your parents have sufficient income and assets to justify your proposed studies.
I have applied with my dad's bank statements of Oman and Bangladesh and some financial documents of some land and building in Bangladesh. The VO have returned all those bank statements of BD and one of the oman's one in which the balance wasn't converted to CAD.
I applied for diploma in Computer Network and Technical Support in Seneca college. I showed approx 13 lakh CAD.
I would like someone to give me some expert advice and tell me where I went wrong and what should i have included and give me detailed information on what documents to apply with for the next time.......
PLZZZ HELP ME........

@1bal

These days we get GCMS notes instead of CAIPS notes. GCMS notes are very easy to understand. It is highly recommended to apply for GCMS notes in case of a refusal.
