Hi all,

I applied for immigration to Canada on 2007, and I've been waiting for the medical test, but I have recently a lot of problems with my wife, so that she has changed her mind and doesn't want to accompanied me to Canada.
My score is 70, so without the spouse's point, my score is 66.
would the CIC reject my application?
Do I have to cancel my wife from the application?
Shall I repeat the IELTS test to get a higher score to get the minimum requirement which is 67? if so, what is the wright way to inform the CIC?
I would be most grateful if some body would share me his knowledge regarding my situation.

To ahn:

The smartest way to go ahead is to go as it is. Do not mess up with your processing at this stage, else,, the consequences could be disastrous.

67/100 is a must, scoring more in IELTS is a good idea. At some stage you may have to inform Visa Office since medical examination is must even when she is non accompanying member. If she is parted from you she would not go for medicals and that can delay your application. If you are able to get divorce and you can go ahead and inform Visa Office and send a copy of decree. Score more or get married again to avail some more points to be eligible for immigration.

@ahn,

Given the gravity of the situation, I suggest you contact a good immigration consultant ASAP. It would cost some money, but the consltant would be able to give you appropriate advice in this issue. If I were you, I would consult atleast a couple of consultants to make sure they are giving you the right info.

Seems ur file is already in PROCESS.

The option only left for u is to make up the mind of ur wife for accompanying you to Canada.
At this stage, u cannot improve ur IELTS or any other way to increase your points and send the document.

Best of Luck...

If your application is already in process then go ahead. Just tell your spouse to wait and see until after you have landed before you make any decision if you want to live there or not. At least this way you wont have any regrets.
