HELP!

My application under spouse was received by cic August 25, 2013 and iam really having a hard time how everything goes as we were told that first approval would take 11 months.

Times are tough and I really need to get back on my feet but I can't do anything without a working permit.

Please advice.

Yes - first stage approval will take 11 months.

If you want to work earlier, then you will need to find an employer who is willing to offer you a job. That employer will then have to obtain an approved Labour Market Opinion. As part of this process, the employer will have to prove that the job was advertized and no suitable Canadian could be found to hire for the role. If the LMO is approved, you can then apply for a work permit. If your work permit is approved, you can then start working for that employer.

So the first step is to find a employer who is willing to offer you a job and also go through the LMO process.
