I applied for my husband on June 26th through vfs Chandigarh. No reply till date. Sent case specific enquiry too but no response.

Normal processing time from chandigarh is 4 months! Oct 26 is when 4 months got over for you! You should get it soon! I cant suggest you anything except, be patient! Good luck!

I got email today saying application is approved.

I got email today saying "Processed Passport has been dispatched................". Then got email from VFS saying that they have couriered my wife s passport via Blue Dart.

Does "processed passport" mean approval? Please help. I am very anxious. Your help would be appreciated.

Applied sowp on 30 sep ,got medical on 1-november submitted medical today

Can anyone tell how much more time it will take from now to get my visa....

I am not sure. you have to check once you received your passport

You got your medical request indicates that 99.99% probability that your visa will be approved. Review of medicals and decision time should not take more than 10 days now. Hope that helps!

Updated Timeline:

SOWP for my wife (Applying for the first time)

Paper-based Application from Chennai VFS,
Application Submitted: 11th September, 2015 (Medicals done Upfront)

Processed Passport Dispatched from Bangalore Embassy: 9th November, 2015

No Approval Email.

Passport with stamped VISA and Letter of Approval received on 12th November, 2015!
