Spouse work permit extension

Hello Everyone,
I am currently on a study permit and my wife came here on a dependent open work permit. Both of our visas will be expired by December 2020. I applied for my post-graduate work permit in May 2020 and I am yet to get approval. I applied for my PR (FSW) with CRS- 481 and am waiting for my ITA.
When I read about the spouse work permit extension, I read that the primary applicant's work permit needs to be approved and should have at least a NOC B type job.
Because I already applied for the work permit, I started working full time and I am waiting for my work permit approval to start my wife's application. Because of the COVID situation, everything is getting delayed.
My first question is if I don't get my work permit by December and my wife's permit gets expired, would it be a problem?
My second question is if I get my ITA, should I still submit an application for my wife's work permit extension and if I have to put an application, what kind (I am assuming it is not a bridgework permit)?

To extend your wife's work permit, you need payslips/proof of your skilled employment, and may need your PGWP (opinions differ on whether proof you've applied is sufficient.) If you're not going to be able to do this before hers expires, apply to change her status to visitor. You can't get a bridging work permit for either of you as your PGWP is not expiring within 4 months.

Thank you for your response. She is currently working and I don't want to convert it to visitor visa. But because of the situation, would there be any relief? Or is it possible to apply for any other work permit.

No, if you're not working in a skilled NOC you can't extend her work permit based on your own. She has to stop working unless she qualifies for her own work permit with an LMIA, etc.

I am also working in a NOC B category job. So, since I already applied for my PGWP, could I submit her application.
