Hello!! am new to this forum hopefully, someone could help me regarding my situation....

I came to Canada on October 2011 as a Vistor and i got my OWP against my Husbands Study permit. Now he is about to apply for his 3 year PGWP. With out my husbands job offer i wont be able to apply for a OWP.

My Question is

1. Is there anyway to extend my stay in Canada besides an OWP? In my Husbands application for PGWP, can i apply for a visitor record ( extension of stay as a visitor) ?

2. Will the visitor record be as long as my Husbands PGWP?

3. Is the visitor record still valid if the holder leaves Canada and return?

Any reply is much appreciated. Thank you in advance

1. you will apply for extension of your stay as visitor via change condition form. Once your spouse gets NOC O,A,B job then you can apply for OWP. If the spouse doesn't get a job in NOC O,A,B, you can not get a work permit.
2. It will be valid till the PGWP of your spouse. Both you and your spouse apply at the same time.
3. Yeah, you will be issued Visitor visa with multiple entry so you can move freely and enter Canada before the expiry of your TRV.
