Yes, the personal history section.
Thanks.. I realized I was on "Personal Details" section and hence couldn't find any such form where I'd put these details.

Relevant only if the experience was acquired in Canada. In that case, you will need detailed reference letters to validate that experience.

If the experience was acquired outside Canada, it has no relevance to your PR application and you can safely remove it from their work history without facing any repercussions.
Hi Asivad Anac,

Does CIC verify spouse's foreign work experience as they have asked for employment reference letter? Doesn't removing the spouse's foreign work history, for which no points have been accounted for, be considered as false information?

It will not be considered as false information, you will be entering your spouse's work experience in the personal history, so you are not hiding anything. Answer should be NO for your spouse work experience, but don't forget to mention the work experience in the personal history.

NOC Code......

1. I am filling up the EOI (creating profile). I don't see any personal history link. Does it appear after ITA only?
2. If i am not getting any points for my husband's experience, Do I need to put NO when it asks if your spouse has any work history?
3. similarly, when not taking any points for his education, should i just write his education to be just high school equivalent i.e. enter his matriculation details.

Thanking you in advance

I mentioned my spouse's work experience, which is out of Canada, and uploaded a reference letter anyhow. For her educational background, I uploaded her education diploma, which was not done in Canada either.

Both work and education experience are irrelevant to Canada, so there was no point claimed, but I was required to upload the documents after receiving ITA.

I didn't know I could skip all the process, otherwise I would choose to put them under Personal History section.

I put my spouse’s foreign work history in work history column in ee profile. Can I upload it only in personal history column post ITA as I won’t be getting any points for it to avoid getting into the hassle of experience letters.

Hi,

I recently received an ITA. My spouse has foreign work experience, as well as 3 years of Canadian work experience. Her Canadian work experience was in NOC C and as such, I do not think we claimed any points from her work experience. In my letter after receiving my ITA, where it shows the breakdown of my CRS, the line beside "CRS - Spouse - Canadian Work Experience" is nil. However, I am still being asked to upload proof of employment for her jobs. My question is, would it be okay to remove her work experience and list it under personal experience since we are not claiming any points for her work? Or should I still upload reference letters for her experience? I am asking because she works for a family as their nanny and they won't be able to provide an official letterhead.

Thanks!

I have studied this topic and also tried to find answer to my query of whether to provide work experience for spouse who is not the first or main applicant and to provide the work history in personal history after receiving the ITA.

Has anyone done this? Have they easily obtained the PR visa?

I am in the same situation, my wife is the first applicant and I have provided complete details of her studies, work experience etc in the EE.

For me I am skeptical in providing the details as all my work experience has been self employed and I know that it will be a headache to collect documents for things that wont even contribute towards the application.

Can anyone who has tried this comment here? will get us an assurance.

Thanks

Hello,

what if i show spouse's work experience? will CIC also do background check for that experience? or CIC will simply ignore as it does not carry any points.

It has no relevance to your application and you can safely avoid mentioning anything in work history.
When i tried to remove spouse work history, It was asking whether spouse has any work experience or not (Which is mandatory), I cant say No also right? Since it will be a false info. Pls suggest what to do

Hi,
I have a query
We live in india .We had applied for Canada PR under FSW program with my wife being the primary applicant, We had just received an ITA 10 days back. Before ITA we had mentioned all the information including my work history in India. I have no work history in canada. Now after ITA I find it little difficult to produce all the documents that are needed for the application to go ahead and further processing. Can I now remove my work history as it does not draw any CRS points in our application. Kindly let us know if it affects our application in anyway ?
If it does not , can someone guide us as to what does the letter of explanation have to mention as the reason to remove my work experience.
I will mention my work history in Personal history ?
