Hello everyone :)

We plan to apply outland which seems like a quicker option.

The only problem we have is he was out of status for 4 years (He is in his home country now.)

Would he be allowed to visit Canada while his pr application is being processed? *He is from visa-exempt country
In case they deny his entry, will that affect be a problem?

We would have been so lost without this forum. Thank you in advance and good luck to everyone.

hi
the only answer ihave at the moment is that of "*He is from visa-exempt country
In case they deny his entry, will that affect be a problem? "

many people in this forum have voiced out that if one is denied while application is in process, usually its because they think you are not going to leave. ithink he should just gather documents to show at the point of entry proving ties at his home. also maybe a motivational letter?

i hope someone can help you with your other concerns, i personally know nothing about being out of status :)
good luck

Your main question is that if he is denied at port of entry, will it affect his PR application?
According to my opinion, It will not affect the PR application because he is visiting his spouse in Canada. If he is denied then he is not criminal in this case. However he has very few chances to get entered in Canada again as his history tells that he did not leave Canada at the end of his authorized stay.

As long as you have submitted an outland application, not inland, it will not affect his PR. It might put him under more scrutiny if he tries to visit again, but once he has PR that won't be an issue.

talked to the lawyer for some advice today and was told that if he wants to give it a shot, try to wait until we have SA, maybe couple more months after and hope cbsa officer is having a good day. However, most likely he entry will get denied.

Although it won't affect his pr process, it's not worth taking a risk and wasting time and money.

we will just try to focus on getting all the docs ready and start the process asap and I'll just visit him time to time.
hope the process doesn't take too long.

thank you so much for your answers.

cheers
