Spouse visit visa when PR application is in progress

Hi Guys,

I am recently married and a I am Permanent Resident living in Alberta. My spouse PR application is still in the initial stages. According to the time lines posted in CIC it is highly impossible for us to stay away from each other for over a year. I would like to apply for visit visa for her. I would appreciate if any one can give me the necessary tips to apply for visit visa when the PR application is still in the initial stage. what are the chances of success and failures of Visa when the PR application is in progress? I am looking for Do's and Dont's for the visit visa.

To successfully get a visa to visit Canada, you have to at least meet all the requirements that any visitor must meet: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/apply-who.asp

In particular, you must:

"- convince an immigration officer that you have ties—such as a job, home, financial assets or family—that will take you back to your home country,
- convince an immigration officer that you will leave Canada at the end of your visit"

you especially have to think about what would happen if your application for PR was not approved. Would your spouse happily leave you and Canada, or would she want to stay in Canada illegally. If they think that the advantages of staying in Canada would outweigh the advantages of going back home, they will not be inclined to give out a visa. The keyword is "convince." You have to convince them that everything will be fine and returning back home has sufficient attractions to happen.

1. current Job offer letter of my wife from India
2. last 6 months pay slips
3. Last 6 months of bank statements
4. recent year tax assessment form
5. letter of invitation from me(husband living in Canada)
6. also my wife has family ties in States- an invitation letter from them(if it helps in any way)

please suggest any other supporting documents that you guys can think off?

Hello, I'm also looking for some advice on a related topic, and I absolutely have no idea of how to post a topic of my own (cannot for the life of me find the button for creating a new topic, despite consulting the help page and looking for 2 days!) So I apologize in advance if I hijack this thread with a second question.

Simply put, I am a Canadian citizen planning to return to Canada very soon with my wife of 1 year who is a foreign national (she is polish). Since she is polish, she has "visa exempt status". I'm wondering how this will affect her in entering the country, should I be concerned? I've read about people being refused entry into Canada and this has gotten me worried. We have not finished our application package for spousal sponsorship, but we plan to finalize and send it once we both arrive in canada (I called CIC to ask if this is a possibility, and was told that it is no problem & perfectly legal) Im wondering if the boarder guard will cause any problems because of this, despite this being apparantly normal.
Also, We both have only a one way ticket, and I've read that this may be a "red flag" for the boarder guard, she'll have 1,500$ cash so I imagine that would be enough to satisfy any questions about being able to buy a return ticket, but aside from that I just don't know what to expect in my situation. Any help/advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

The thread that IndoCanadian2015 cited is excellent. Anything you have that proves strong ties to your home country is good. Property and obligations that you would never abandon are excellent. This includes any kind of house or apartment, work obligations, family obligations, and anything else in your personal situation. It's pretty obvious that if you have a spouse in Canada, you'll want to be with them, so you need a strong indication that you still have ongoing ties back home. The content of these will vary considerably from one person to another.
