Hello All,

I am going to get married in couple of months, so i was wondering that if my wife apply for visit visa from Karachi, Pakistan for Canada just after marriage before applying for the immigration. What are the chances of getting visa? Could anyone please share his/her experience.

Thanks
Moid

The chances are better if she applies before.
If she requests a TRV after the PR application is submitted, she highly likely to be refused, usually on the assumption that she would overstay.

Agree. She is also more likely to be accepted if she applies before she gets married, provided she can provide a plausible reason for visiting Canada. She will have to provide proof that she will leave Canada before the visa expires.

Thanks for all your reply, but "Canadian women & Baloo" I want her to apply just after marriage because i think if she applies before marriage the high chances are to get declined because she is single and young.
Any thoughts?

If she applies now, then she has a chance (I understand that it may be small, but it is a chance) that she will be granted a TRV.
However, if she applies after getting married it is extremely unlikely that she will be granted a TRV, the presumption is that she would overstay.
Visitors have to visit, not stay.
Do not expect success if she applies after the marriage.

Thankyou for your answer :)

If she applies after marriage, there will be no chance of TRV. Because they will see that she is married (since she has to declare it) and they will think she is coming to stay.

If she has traveled several times to various countries, if she has a good job, if she has money in the bank, if she still lives at home with her parents, if she has a car loan, land in her name, a really good invitation from you inviting her to come visit you all of that will help. I submitted all of the above and only got a one time entry valid for 6 months. she must prove she has sufficient ties to warrant her coming back to Pakistan.
