If I get my Canada PR and I plan to get married after that ,which is the easiest and the fastest method by which I can take my spouse along with me to canada

1. If you get married before landing, then you inform CIC about the status change and they will ask for additional documents to add your spouse to your application. This is the easiest process and will be done mostly within a month.
2. If you get married after landing, then you have to sponsor your spouse, which will take mostly 12 months or if he/she has enough points on her own, can apply separately for a PR, which will mostly take less than 6 months.

HI NEEsha1989, just wanted an update as i am also in the same situation as you were. What are the documents the CIC asked for and how many months did it take for you guys to get the visa. Any help would be really appreciated.

Dear Shrutika,

I have not yet received my PR. Just wanted to add my spouse before I get it so that I can fly with him . Documents needed are your marriage certificate , your husband PCC and his medical.

I think after you add your spouse it will take another 2 months for processing the file again .

Thank You NEEsha1989, What stage are you in and when are you expecting you PR. I have applied for PR in Mar 2018 and expecting to get by Sep 2018. Please keep me posted if you receive the PR and you start with your processing..!

I submitted my application in April 2018 but I am getting married on 16th July and will add my spouse after that , so I hope it will take another 3 more months to complete the processing .
