Hi all

Asking for a Friend. My friend is a Canadian Citizen and is marrying an Indian citizen who is currently in Work Visa.

If they get married in India, can she comeback to Canada with Work Visa? Does she need to declare by any means that she is married before returning back to Canada?

I believe she has to apply after marriage for PR for spouse sponsorship within Canada?

What kind of documents (other than marriage certificate) they need from India?

If her visa allows reentry she should be able to return to Canada and continue working on that visa no problem. The documents that they'll need for the PR application will depend on whether they apply inland or outland, but you can assume things like birth certificate, police check, marriages certificate, etc.

Her visa is expired. Just the work permit. So she need to apply for visa renewal before marriage or else she can not enter Canada without a PR visa?

Yes - she needs a new TRV.

I have recently received my invitation to apply.I want to marry but not sure whether it will be a better option to marry once i receive my PR or should I marry him in Canada after reaching there as he would be coming on a visitor's visa to be there with me for few months in Canada.
