Kat, what bu ayaan says it's true....but i guess we'll learn from ur case if it's just Abu-Dhabi VO which does that (usually they do in 90% of cases i read; members here r going through the AD VO) or also Beirut VO will do the same thing (Kat is going through Beirut VO) :)

Hi
I received this letter from Abu dhabi embassy.
My question is
If I cancel my residency visa in the UAE , will the Canadian immigration visa be issued?? If I do cancel my residency visa now I'll have a period of 30 days to leave the country, how do I make sure I'll get the Canadian immigration visa during this period?

In order to continue processing your application, we ask that you provide us with the following documents/information:
- Proof that your Canadian Citizen sponsor is currently residing in Canada or will reside in Canada when you become a permanent resident. If your sponsor is currently residing in Canada, please provide copies of Canadian tax documents (Notice of Assessment (NOA), T1 and T4); three (3) recent pay stubs and any other document which proves that your sponsor is living in Canada. If your sponsor is currently residing outside of Canada, we will require satisfactory evidence that they will reside in Canada once you become a permanent resident. Satisfactory evidence would include: copy of cancelled residency permit (in the Gulf); copy of resignation letter showing that it has been accepted by your sponsor's employer; evidence that "end of contract" benefits have been paid; and so on. This will be required before a permanent resident visa can be issued. If your sponsor does not believe that they will be ready to move to Canada when your permanent resident visa is issued, then you may wish to consider withdrawing this current application. Your spouse could then submit a new sponsorship when they are prepared to move to Canada.

- Your original police certificate from the United Arab Emirates issued in the last 3 months. If this document is written in a language other than English or French it must be translated in English or French by a professional translator. The original document must be attached with the translation. For information on how to obtain a police certificate from any country, please visit:
If we have asked you to submit an original police certificate(s), and/or photos, please send all required documents together by regular mail or courier. You cannot send police certificates and/or photos by fax or as an email attachment because we require original police certificates/printed photos.
If we have asked you to send us several documents, you are required to submit all the documents together. Do not send documents one at a time. You should include your name and file number (which is indicated in the subject line) in all your correspondence.
You cannot come to the Embassy to submit the required documents in person. Unless otherwise specified, you can send the required documents using one of the following options:

Hi sakoo,

I almost did receive the same letter back in feb. If you read the letter carefully since you are not the sponsor they havent asked you to cancel your residency. If your sponsor is staying with you at present you can write them a letter saying that you will cancel your sponsors residency once you will be given a PR visa. In this whenever they are ready to issue you a visa they will first ask you to cancel your sponsors residency and send the copy of it along with your passport.

If your sponsor is not staying with you at present ask your sponsor in Canada to send you pay slips and tax papers to provide proof that he or she is in Canada and write a letter saying that your sponsor is in Canada.

Hi there ALL,

I have applied for my wife sponsorship via Abu Dhabi. I applied on Dec 21, 2011.

I got clear "Decision Made" on Feb 15, 2012

My wife got email on May 16, 2012 (Acknowledgment of Letter Receipt) and On same day she got Another email saying ask Your Husband (ME) to submit T1, T4, NOA, Proof I am residing in Canada and Passport complete page copy.

I submitted all document on May 18, 2012 and they receive it on May 22, 2012 (Check via Tracker)

Now Still my 2nd part of status says "Application Received" NOT "In Process"

I hope it ll not change and soon she ll get letter asking for her passport (I hoping very soon)

Any One feel free to comment on your Abu Dhabi Experience

Thanks

Hi Aamir89,

The visa office in AD is processing cases much quicker than other or atleast from what I have noticed from my and few other cases on the forum here. Hopefully soon you will receive a letter from them.

You can email them too with a reminder that you have sent them the documents with the tracking number for just a reminder. But they won't usually reply back. No one can predict how long each case takes!!

Hello Guys,

I want to join this topic. I have received email from VO asking additional docs. Did you send orig copies of these (Notice of Assessment (NOA), T1 and T4) to VO?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Kire3,

If you are the sponsor and currently living and working in Canada then you need to provide this information. My sponsor was living with me so we provided her last tax returns and I wrote a letter telling them that my sponsor has been living with me since we got married and we have intentions to move back as soon as I get the PR visa.

hi bu ayaan,

thank you for the feedback. my wife is my sponsor and she's currently in Canada. Did you submit original copies of these docs or a photocopy will do?

thanks

Unless they have asked for originals you have to send them all photocopies.

Hi there, thats a good sign. Submit the requested doc and then then it wont take to long to make decision. They ask me the same thing T1, T4 and NOA and proof that I am residing in Canada.

Thanks

Thanks Aamir89 and bu ayaan. I'm submitting the required docs soon. Did they only provide 2months for landing after your visa has been issued?

thanks & best regards
:)

Hi there,

In my spouse case she has given Dec 02, 2012 deadline but she ll come on August 17, 2012 (INSHALLAH).

Once you submitted your doc hopefully it won't take long normally it take 1-2 months (What I see in this forum) but again its all depend case to case.
