woooo-hoooo very happy for u gaafaa and my pleasure; really glad that i could help; thanks for ur update and yeah as i told u before knowing everything abt the spouse is really a must for the interview; still her interview was not that long, some struggle for 2h!!!!! i see they didn't really put accent on ur income and stuff like that, or they wanted to know that too?

actually it's normal that they ask for the divorce to be recognized in Canada too....as soon as u have that she will get the visa!!!!!!! but wooow they called for interview a few months after u send the application (that's very good if we think that their timeline is 25 months) i have a little more hope keep in touch!!!

Today march/01/2012, my wife just received an email from Abu dhabi Embassy requesting Passport and an additional documents, it also says we ready to issue your Visa(s). does this mean her application is approved? I just checked Ecase, her status says (RECEIVED). please advice.

hiiiii gaafaa mabrooooook it's very good news just submit the required documents and if everything is in order with those documents she will get the visa very soon
when did abu-dhabi start processing ur application? sept 2011 is when ur application reached abu-dhabi or missisauga? still it is a very fast processing, it gives me hoooooope
don't rely on e-cas, ur case is another proof that this system is not reliable at all; there r members who r already landed in Canada but on e-cas their application is still "in process"; LOL urs is even worse, from e-cas point of view they didn't even start processing it and she is already getting the visa

I am canadian PR. I got married last summer in Saudi Arabia. I live in Canada. I applied to sponsor my wife back in Sept/11. Mississauga CPC sent my application to Abu Dhabi office around the end of Dec/11. I asked them to process it in Cairo. She lives in Saudi but she is Palestinian from Gaza. That's why I asked to be processed in Cairo. She did her medical back in Jun/11. I am not sure when should we be expecting the visa. Are we going to need to do another medical in case our application will be still in process after June/12. anyone with any info which can help, please advise!

Alhamdu lilaahi, today March/22/2012, my wife received her passport back with the VISA. please note we send her passport to the embassy on march/3/2012.

Her timeline is here;

We received xxxxx application for permanent residence on August 29, 2011.

We started processing xxxxxx application on March 1, 2012.

Medical results have been received.

Xxxxxx interview is February 10, 2012.

A decision has been made on March 15, 2012 xxxxxxx application. The office will contact xxxxxx concerning this decision.

I submit sponsorship application to Mississauga CPC on Aug/29/2011, they received sep/1/11, Approval on principal was Nov/7/2011 and same day they transferred to Abu Dhabi office. Its about six and half months alhamdu lilaah, as I mention before her interview lasted 45min, they asked her everything about me, starting with my age,previous marriage,divorce letter and so on.
Finally, I want to take this opportunity and thank all of you and please keep the hope alive, also send whatever this Immigration people ask you to send, that is what we did.

if u r living in the Gulf too, they could ask cancelation of ur visa, as well as hers...or they could b satisified that u will move together to Canada once she gets the visa and they won't ask at all....sometimes they ask sometimes they don't...each case is different and it's impossible to know the personal details and circumstances of each applicant and the way they assess that

unfortunately i have no timeline for u, we just started....abu-dhabi members r not very active here, but if u do search on this forum u could see a few abu-dhabi stories/timelines (very few)...good luck

Yes they ask my wife to cancel her Gulf Visa, I think this applies to everyone who isn't Gulf Citizen. whole idea is they want to make sure that you are very serious and want to immigrate to Canada. thats my understanding anyway.

I submit medical papers,fees,and photos in advance, I think medical papers expire in one year, so if they ask you to do another medical exams, probably yours expire, my advice is just submit any document(s) they ask, otherwise it will cause a delay on your Visa. as long they are contacting you and asking you send this and that, you are good, in other words you are not forgotten.

Thanks my wife submitted my application in oct 2011. The medical advisor here in Kwt advised us not to do the medical till asked to do so as its better. I was asked to do it last month for the first time.

So far they are in touch hope that remains the case always!!
