Hi all.

Hoping for some information re spousal visa.

I am a British citizen married to a Canadian citizen.

We have been living together in London since getting married in 2016. We have a baby girl of 3 months.

We are thinking of moving to Canada and applying through a spousal visa.

I understand we can do this while being in the Uk. (Outland application) or is it better for us to travel to Canada and applying inland?

Also how would my daughter go about getting Canadian citizenship. Her mother, my wife, is the Canadian citizen.

Looking forward to replies.

Many thanks

In my humble opinion, it's better to apply using the outland (Family Class) process from the UK. You can then easily roll with the punches as the London visa office screws up the application, while still enjoying life in the UK. Your daughter is probably a Canadian citizen already, assuming that her mother is a born or naturalized Canadian, rather than by descent. Apply for a Citizenship Certificate and then a passport. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...dian-citizen/eligibility/already-citizen.html
