Hi Everyone:

I am new to this forum, and I really need experts advise.

I worked as a Cabinetmaker in Edmonton, AB Canada and my visa will expire on APR/2016.

In the meantime, I have applied visa for my wife, so that she can visit me here.

1. We have applied OWP visa, and was rejected.
Reasons was:

- your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence
length of proposed stay in Canada.
- purpose of visit
- your current employment situation

2. Then someone advise us that since she is not working, we shouldn't be applying OWP visa.
And we re-applied Temporary resident visa. Again it was rejected.

Reasons was:

-your travel history - My wife never traveled outside of the country.
-purpose of visit - Provided notarized invitation letter.
-your current employment situation - Not working. She is a housewife.
-your personal assets and financial status - She lives with my mother, and she doesn't have any property, loan, or assets by her name.

Could anyone assist us, how we can apply for her tourist visa?
How long do we have to wait for reapplication. As I am really scared for another refusal.

Thank you in advance for reading and will appreciate each and everyone's comments.

CIC is looking for evidence that proves your wife has strong ties to her home country and has no plans on remaining in Canada long term. Based on the information you have provided, it unfortunately sounds like your wife can't really demonstrate this.

Technically there is no period of time you have to wait before applying again. However I'm not sure it will make sense to apply again unless / until something significant changes in your wife's profile. If she applies again now, I think she will once again be refused.

Does she have any plans to get a job? If so, then once she has a job and has worked in that job for a few months it may make sense to apply then since she will be able to show that job as her tie. I'm not sure what else to suggest...

Well there's really not much you can do for her, given that she hasn't really addressed all her red flags.

No travel history, no job, no assets or money. What's she doing to address all these concerns?

Thank you for everyone's comments.

I highly appreciate it.

I totally agree with you two.

Therefore; we are planning to compile these following things before we reapply;
1. She will attend to university to study, and she can show letter from the university.
2. Show some bank balances under her name.
3. Property and investment papers which is under my name. And she is my wife, so I hope there shouldn't be any problem.

Please advise, if that will work.

Thank-you again

You should pay her first semester tuition fees to strengthen her application and show a letter from the university confirming she has paid.

Okay, I am feeling bit hope now.

Thanks for your reply.

She will finished her first semester, then she will do her next semester in FEB 2015.
In the meantime, while she is on her breaks, we will get the letter from university, pay some fees for next semester and show in the letter that she have to return to her country of residence in order to continue her education.

I wish it works :(
Just hope and pray.
