Hi All,

I have submitted a paper based TRV application, under "Family Visit" category for my wife on May 08 2017 from India. The TRV application is submitted with upfront medicals and original passport of my spouse and with all the supporting documents required for the TRV application for my spouse.

Recently when i was trying to link the application to online CIC account, and l found out that the passport validity details i entered were little incorrect (entered month as date and date as month) for the passport issue date in the paper application.

Forum Members,
I am really confused and frustrated now; have spent a lot of time researching for information and recording the data in all the immigration and supporting documents; gone thru a lot of hurdles and waiting recently with my WP extension; and now i am in a confused state 'not knowing'- what the visa officer will do with my wife TRV application (whether reject it/ put out a question) in this regard?

  • As i have submitted the original passport which holds the valid passport issue information, will VISA officer consider my case with the authenticity of the document enclosed and still process my application?
  • If the first case is a no-no, can anyone suggest me- is there any way i can correct the information by sending a revised document or explanation letter, in order to avoid a rejection case and re-applying which involves more wait time in my case ?
PS: Earlier, I have posted a similar query in different category "TRV Timelines" (http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/posts/6039261/), but now- would like to post in right category, looking for help in my case

Thank You.

Hi,

You're worrying a bit too much :)

As you've submitted a paper application, email the Bangalore visa office stating this mistake. It's a minor common mistake. The visa officer will not refuse your wife's application for this reason

Cheers

I will email the Bangalore VISA office explaining my issue; and will wait for their response before deciding on further actions.

Thanks again,
