i have just submitted my passport to New Delhi office on 18th july 2012. and my status is same but they added word "null" before my name i.e it shows this way

'We have received null XXX application for permanent residence on 30th March 2012"

Pretty sure that was already in the template and they forgot to take it out. That's what it looks like anyway.

if you dont have any surname, they put your first name as your surname and NULL as your first name.
i mean if your first name is Amit Kumar, they will put "Null amit kumar"

Hello,

I just saw my E-cas and I am also getting the same “NULL” message when I am trying to login. Please I need some guidance as I saw your post and you also had the “NULL” message showing in the past.

I just need to know what steps I can take to solve this situation. I tried to contact my MP and got a waiting date and said to wait till April. Applied for GCM notes but no luck in that too as all it shows is application in progress.

Please help me in solving this problem. Thank you very much.

True. They put Nill in the status before updats made. They just forgot to take it off when entering updated info.

Incorrect, as in our case it's just 1st and last name for my parent but no "nill" anywhere mentioned.

That is just a mistype. You can contact the visa office asking them to correct your name. But maybe it is just a common mistake in ecas. In our case my status in ecas showing decision made but the actual status is in process.
